If you still choose to drink milk, look for milk from cows that weren’t given hormones or antibiotics.
Watch out for milk that are “organic”. It could mean that the cows weren’t given antibiotics or that they weren’t given hormones, but it could also mean that the cows were fed organic grain.
Choose milk from grass-fed cows. A lot of cows are fed other things to have them produce more milk. Cows have an internal system that is adapted to process grass as their major food source. If they’re fed other things like corn, it would fatten them up and make them less healthy, and it affects the milk too.
Some people drink raw milk. Pasteurization is when you heat up milk to get rid of bacteria. Raw milk doesn’t go through this process. Some people think that pasteurized milk is harder to digest. Raw milk also has bacteria that lessen allergies.
